Mind, Body and Soul

Feb 20, 2023

Welcome to your 1st Edition of the 1% Growth Club newsletter!

Every week, Our goal is to provide you with helpful tips, tricks and information to support your overall health, and wellbeing in Body, Mind, and Soul. Every week you will learn different methodologies that will allow you to grow at least 1% in each of those areas.

You are the common denominator in everything you do, see, feel, and experience.

In 5 years from now, 10 years from now, even 1 month from now, It’s going to be just YOU, your thoughts, Your Actions (or lack of), your Habits, Your Patterns.

We are creatures of habit. 95% of the patterns, beliefs and habits we do throughout the day are learned and developed before we turn 18.

Through this incredible journey, you will make small incremental changes that will yield phenomenal results.

Our mind is the most powerful tool we have. It's where our thoughts, emotions and belief systems live. The mind has a direct impact on our perception of the world and how we interact with it. It's imperative to take care of our mind, by practicing mindfulness, meditation and other activities that will promote mental well-being.

Taking small breaks throughout the day can significantly reduce stress and improve focus.

Below is a list of activities you can do to help clear the mind:

  • Short Meditation
  • Deep Breathing Exercises
  • Short walk outside
  • Listen to your favorite music

It took me years to sit down and meditate, I resisted it for a while. I always thought it had to be perfect, that I had to sit still for 30 minutes and not think about anything. It was the furthest thing from the truth, that’s not meditation for me. For me, it was creating time to separate myself from the outside world. Even if it was for 2-3 minutes at a time, I slowly increased my capacity to meditate.

Track your progress and improve by at least 1% every week.

Movement creates Energy.

We only have 1 Body! Treat it with love and respect.

Our Body is our physical vessel, it guides us and leads us to where we want to go. It's imperative that you take care of it.

A healthy body needs proper nutrition, exercise and rest. It's easy to overlook the body’s needs in our busy lives, but neglecting it can lead to long-term health programs.

In 2017, I was flying all over the World. Every 3-4 days I was on a plane. I was neglecting my body and not giving it the attention it needed. I ended up in hospital for two weeks with Acute Kidney Inflammation. I was in so much physical pain from neglecting my body, I had to learn the hard way. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Create a daily routine that allows you to eat well, exercise and rest. It’s important that we take breaks from work, eat a balanced and nutritious diet, and exercise daily.

Do you ever feel tired? Lazy? Lethargic? Stuck? MOVE THE BODY. Go for a walk, go for a run.

When we move our body, it changes how we feel. Don’t be a couch potato. Your body is designed to move. Here are some things you can do in between your calls/meetings:

  • 20 Jumping Jacks
  • 20 Push Ups
  • 20 Sit Ups
  • 3-5 minute Walk
  • Meditation / Breath work

Other forms of activity that will help you are:

  • Basketball,Swimming,Running,Yoga,Dancing,Tennis

The soul is the part of us that connects us to something greater than ourselves. It is the essence of our being, and it is where we find our purpose and meaning in life. The soul needs nourishment, and how does it get that? Through acts of kindness, compassion, love, and service to others. It's the connection to the heart and soul that provides us tranquility, harmony and peace.

We are all connected and we all have a light and essence inside of us. When we focus on love, family, light and service to others, our should gets ignited. It gets lighter, brighter and we feel great inside.

It is essential to take time to reflect, connect with nature, and engage in activities that bring you joy.

One of the fastest ways to connect with your soul is to focus on gratitude and appreciation. In the moments we are grateful and appreciative, the negative feelings in the body disappear. Remember, it's impossible to be grateful and angry/fearful/anxious at the same time.

This week, I want you to bring more attention and focus to the things you have and not the things you don’t have.

Write down a list of up to 50 things you are grateful for. (including but not limited to: People, Experiences, Moments)

Gratitude is one of the fastest ways to ignite your soul.

The connection between the body, mind, and soul is a delicate balance. When one of these components is neglected, it can impact the others. For example, if you are physically unwell, it can affect your mental and emotional well-being. If you are experiencing stress or anxiety, it can impact your physical health.

The key to achieving overall well-being is to find a balance between the body, mind, and soul. This involves taking care of your physical health, managing stress and anxiety, and connecting with your purpose and meaning in life.

In conclusion, taking care of the body, mind, and soul is essential for overall well-being.

By nurturing these three components, we can create a sense of balance and harmony in our lives.

Take time to prioritize your health and well-being, and remember that a healthy body, mind, and soul can lead to a fulfilling and purposeful life.
